# dns.nmls.nl Adblocking dns over tls server

## What is this ?

This is an adblocking dns-over-tls server mainly for mobile phones.

dns-over-tls is available on:
- android 10 and above (called private dns in settings)
- ios whatever (you need to download and install the nmlsdns.mobileconfig file)
- Fritz!Boxes (Internet -> Zugangsdaten -> DNS-Server -> DNS over TLS)

Just configure dns.nmls.nl as the DNS over TLS Server.

the following files show whats blocked:
blacklist.txt - manual blacklist of dns names
whitelist.txt - manual whitelist of dns names
adlist.txt - automatically generated list of adservers

the three lists are processed in order.
